Ambitions marked a special milestone last week as the organisation celebrated the 9th anniversary of its popular Tameside Disco on Tuesday, 7th October, with a lively event at The Old Fire Station Pub in Ashton-under-Lyne.
The evening brought together service users, parents, carers, and volunteers for a night of entertainment, laughter, and community spirit. Guests were treated to a packed programme that included a performance by Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steve Royal, a Selfie Mirror with complimentary prints, a magician, and a colourful carnival stilt walker.
Local favourite Johnny Harper also took to the stage for a live music performance, while V Fresh Catering provided free burgers and hot dogs from their popular burger van. A professional photographer was on hand to capture the celebrations, and guests were delighted by a special visit from the Mayor of Tameside, Councillor Shibley Alam.
The event ran from 5 pm to 9 pm, offering four hours of fun and festivities that reflected the warm, inclusive atmosphere Ambitions has become known for.
Jonathan and Stephanie Griffiths-Barnes, Co-Chairs of Ambitions, expressed their heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the celebration such a success.
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us to mark this special occasion,” they said. “A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers and committee members for their unwavering commitment over the years, and to Jordan and his team at The Old Fire Station for their fantastic support.”
