A heartwarming afternoon of music, fashion and community spirit brought smiles to residents at Lowry Court in Mottram, thanks to a special collaboration with a local Ashton business.
Sue, from Seraphina in Ashton-under-Lyne, was invited by a resident to host a fashion show at the care setting, creating a lively and engaging event for everyone involved. The afternoon was made even more memorable by the attendance of a choir, who performed a selection of songs and encouraged residents to join in.
Armed with musical instruments including shakers and tambourines, as well as printed lyrics, residents enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to sing along and take part. The room quickly filled with music, laughter and a shared sense of joy, making it a truly uplifting experience for all.
Adding to the occasion, residents and organisers laid on a delightful spread of cakes, giving everyone the chance to relax and socialise while enjoying the entertainment.
The event also raised money for important causes, with £107 donated to Finding Rainbows and a further £20 raised for cards supporting Pancreatic Cancer awareness.
