Local teen lands hole in one

A local teen has achieved a feat every golfer dreams of.

13-year-old Brook Bowles, from Glossop, became the youngest ever player to hit a hole in one at Marple Golf Club over the weekend.

The Glossopdale student, who plays off the men’s tees, recorded the ace on the 17th, with wild celebrations heard from the clubhouse.

Following his landmark moment, Brook commented:

“I’m just very happy to have beaten my dad to it – he’s been playing golf for years!”
