Registration for the legendary 2026 Saddleworth Village Games is now open.

And the committee have built a new website so all parents will need to re-register their details and enter their children’s details, plus the sports they wish to enter this year.

The central organising committee are pleased to announce Racket ball and Dodgeball have now expanded to year 7-8 and 9-10 age groups respectively and they hope to see as many competitors in those competitions as possible and throughout the rest of the games.

The Games have partnered with Super Kind, who’ll be able to assist in claiming gift aid on kind donations. Please give what you can, the recommended donation is £10.

Chairman Stephen Hewitt said, “Time  has come around quick again for the registration stage of the Saddleworth Village Olympics. Get your new account created and children registered for this year’s games. I can’t wait for this year’s event to start especially our expanded events too, it’s great to get as many children involved as possible.

“It’s also my last year as chairman this year, after four years of leading a fantastic set of volunteers to put these games on, the time is right that I take a back step and let other lead.

“I’ll still be involved in the background and be at some events, but it’s time for new input and fresh ideas. The SVO will be in great hands though with Scot Chapman set to take over. Do register and see you all in September for the events.”
