Property company Carter Jonas is preparing an outline planning application on behalf of Derbyshire County Council for 100 houses on the site of the former Glossopdale School off Talbot Road in Glossop.
A public consultation leaflet has been sent out to residents which states “The leaflet is designed to provide you with the opportunity to review the proposals and share your feedback before a planning application is completed and submitted to High Peak Borough Council.”
All detailed matters relating to access, appearance, landscaping, layout, and scale, of any residential development will be reserved for future approval.
The masterplan illustrates suggested areas for housing, open space, landscaping, access, and sustainable drainage.
The former school site has remained derelict since the school's relocation in 2018.
