Two fundraisers have set off from Glossop on a 102-mile walking challenge to raise money for the Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre, one of the Mayor of High Peak's chosen charities.
Stuart Boon and Xavier Andrews began their five-day 'Who Knew Walk' on Tuesday 7th July, with the first leg taking them from Glossop to Buxton. Before setting off, the pair enjoyed a hearty breakfast at Glossop Cafeteria and received a packed lunch donated by M&S Foodhall.

The challenge follows the success of last year's sponsored walk from Derby to Blackpool, which raised £1,907 for charity. This year, the pair are hoping to exceed that total by raising £2,000.
Their route will take them through Glossop, Buxton, Bakewell, Chesterfield, Alfreton, Belper, Heanor, Ilkeston, Derby, Melbourne, Ticknall and Swadlincote, covering a total of 102 miles – the same distance between Derby and the Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre in Skegness.
Stuart, who has a personal connection with the charity, said both he and Xavier are passionate about raising awareness of the work it carries out across Derbyshire, giving disadvantaged children the opportunity to enjoy a free holiday by the seaside.
Founded in 1891, the Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre provides free holidays in Skegness for children who may be experiencing financial hardship, recovering from trauma, requiring respite care or needing additional wellbeing support.
The charity is one of the organisations being supported during the mayoral year of the Mayor of High Peak, Cllr Barbara Hastings-Asatourian.
