Part of a road in Hyde will be closed for three weeks to allow a leaking water main to be repaired.
An emergency road closure has been put in place on Dowson Road, between its junction with Market Street and its junction with Thornley Street in a southwest bound direction.
It closed on Monday (10 August) and is set to remain shut for 21 days.
Motorists are advised that the alternative route for southwest bound traffic is via Market Street, Stockport Road and Dowson Road.
Signs will be displayed on the road to remind drivers.
The repair work is being carried out by Network Plus on behalf of United Utilities.
