Armed police were spotted on the streets of Dukinfield on Friday morning around the town hall - but there was nothing to worry about.
They were all actors as the cameras of Coronation Street descended on the town to film dramatic scenes of an armed police swoop on characters in a car.
The front of the town hall was 'sealed off' by police cars - also part of the set - for the filming of the scenes - expected to be part of a major storyline developing for the soap's screening this Christmas.
