There’s plenty happening at Mottram Parish Church

Mottram Parish Church.

Mottram Parish Church is planning a long weekend  of events next month and there’s lots going on.

It’s all happening from Friday, September 17, to Sunday the 19th and revolves around what’s being called ‘The Picture Show 2’.

Paintings by Joan and Ben Walker and Anne Harrey will be on show and on sale, with a wine and nibbles preview evening from 6pm to 9pm on the Friday.

There’s also storytelling from the legends of Longdendale.

The Grade Two listed church will be open to explore from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and noon to 4pm on Sunday,  with refreshments to enjoy.

There’s organised tours of the church both days, with children’s activities and ‘tours of the bells’ on Saturday.
