Tameside Rotary members have toured the Indian Community Centre on Union Road in Ashton to find out more about the good work it undertakes.
Rotary President Mohammed Karim, Vice President Steve Knowles, Past President Angela Robbins, Founder President Andy Williams and Community Chair John Moon and Tameside Rotarian and current Mayor Cllr Mike Glover all attended the centre where Tameside Rotarian Manhar Taylor is a trustee.
An amazing amount of good work is done there providing support to the community, including producing ‘Meals on Wheels’.

As well as speaking to head cook Taraben Parmar, members took part in a mini sit down yoga session provided by Induben Popat.
Manhar provided a tour of the centre including the temple where the group met Hindi Priest Pradipbhai Upadiya.
The event was President Mohammed’s very first official engagement and was enjoyed by everyone, helping to forge closer links between Rotary and the centre.
