Tameside Libraries Host Health Fair to Support Health Information Week

Tameside Libraries are proud to support Health Information Week, an annual campaign promoting access to reliable and high-quality health information for patients and the public. As part of the initiative, the library service invites everyone to attend a Health Fair at Ashton Library on Tuesday 20th January from 10am to 2pm.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet local groups and organisations offering support and advice on a range of health and wellbeing topics. Among those attending are NHS Tameside and Glossop Talking Therapies, Healthwatch, the Tameside Macular Society Support Group, Home-Start, and the Tameside Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group.

The event is free and open to all. It’s a great chance to chat with local professionals and discover the many services available within the community to help improve mental and physical wellbeing.

In addition to the Health Fair, libraries across Tameside will also be offering drop-in Jigsaw and Mindful Colouring sessions for adults,  a perfect way to relax, unwind, and focus on your own wellbeing.

For more details about Health Information Week or the activities taking place at your local library, visit the Tameside Libraries website or speak to staff at your nearest branch.
