Around 40 senior citizens from Dukinfield were treated to a festive lunch this week thanks to their local ward councillors.
Dukinfield councillors host four pensioner lunches each year and the last of 2019 was set in the beautiful surroundings of the newly-refurbished Astley Arms on Chapel Street.
Guests enjoyed a hearty potato pie, followed by apple pie and custard and a fantastic afternoon’s entertainment.
Jonathan Young of The Bachelors led the guests in a sing-song and there were the usual competitive games of bingo and a raffle, with some fantastic prizes on offer and Father Christmas himself made an appearance.
