A 70-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital following a collision in Stalybridge yesterday (Thurs) afternoon.
Police attended the road traffic accident on Huddersfield Road at around 2.40pm.
It is believed a Toyota Yaris was turning off the main road and collided with a pedestrian. The pensioner was rushed to hospital, where he remains in life-threatening condition.
The driver remained on the scene, and no arrests have been made.
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV footage, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the incident.
