A Tameside primary school has maintained its Good rating after an inspection by education watchdog Ofsted.
Inspectors visiting Moorside Primary School on Market Street, Droylsden, rated the school as Good in all areas, including quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, management and leadership and early years provision.
They said the 442-student school, whose head is Sam Ismail, created a 'positive learning environment' for its 3-11-year-old pupils.
The report revealed: "Pupils feel safe and happy in school. They enjoy a warm welcome from staff each morning.
"Pupils know that they can talk to staff if they have any worries. This helps the to feel cared for and valued.

"The school has created a positive learning environment where pupils behave well. They are polite and courteous to staff and to their peers.
"Pupils show respect for the differences that exist between people from different backgrounds and cultures."
However, inspectors also noted: "Some older pupils have gaps in their learning.
"This is due to the weaknesses in the previous curriculum, which were compounded by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic."
But they noted that although the gaps in learning "continue to linger", most pupils were achieving well.
