On Monday, January 29, 2024 just after 9.30am, officers were called to a road traffic collision on the M67 motorway between junctions 3 and 4.
Just before the Halton Street Bridge, a vehicle hit standing water which resulted in it losing control. The car veered towards a verge and collided with it, causing the car to roll. The front seat passenger, a 59-year-old man, subsequently died from his injuries.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage, to come forward and assist their investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4741 quoting log 838 of 29/01/2024.
