Trams on the Ashton Metrolink line won’t run for much of Sunday morning while engineers complete work on infrastructure in Manchester city centre.
There will be no service to Tameside from the start of operations on Sunday, September 15 until around 10am.
Metrolink tickets will be accepted on bus routes from Manchester to Ashton up until 11:30am, by when TfGM expect trams to be fully operational.
All other lines will run, but won’t be able to pass through Victoria.
“This is to allow for works on a pedestrian walkway between Corporation Street and Victoria,” said a statement from TfGM. “A bus replacement service will run between Victoria and Piccadilly.”
Sunday morning’s routes are as follows:
From start of service until 10am
Altrincham – Exchange Square
Bury – Victoria
East Didsbury – Exchange Square
Eccles – Deansgate-Castlefield (via MediaCityUK)

The Trafford Centre – Cornbrook
