Motorcyclist in hospital after Crown Point crash

A motorcyclist is in hospital with ‘suspected serious injuries’ following a crash in Denton this afternoon.

The ambulance service said they received a 999 call at 1:31pm after a motorbike and a car collided on Stockport Road near the Toll Point pub.

It is understood that rider crashed into railings and the air ambulance landed in nearby Victoria Park.

A cordon is in place on the junction of Inman Street and Stockport Road.

A statement from GMP said: “Emergency services are in attendance and road closures remain in place as further work is carried out.”
