A section of Manchester Road in Mossley will close to traffic over the next two weekends while electricity cable upgrades take place.
Roadworks between the junctions of Spring Mill Drive and Tame Valley Close will begin on the morning of Saturday July 6, and end on Sunday July 14.
The route will remain open as usual from Monday to Friday.
Wakefield Road will also close at Black Rock Bridge for ‘essential highway maintenance’ between 6am-6pm on July 6 and 7.
The centre of Mossley will still be accessible from Egmont Street and Stamford Road.
