A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman in her 40s was hospitalised following a stabbing on Wednesday January 15.
Yong Feng Chen, 51, from Dagenham in East London, was remanded ahead of appearing at Stockport Magistrates’ Court this morning (Friday January 17), accused of attacking the victim on Clarendon Street, Dukinfield.
The woman is still in a stable condition in hospital, with police saying: “Enquiries suggested it was targeted with no wider threat to the public.”
GMP are still appealing for witnesses to come forward, with anyone with information asked to call the non-emergency 101 number, quoting incident 2152 of 15/01/2025.
