Laurus Ryecroft Sixth Form proudly celebrates its second-ever cohort of Year 13 students, whose impressive A Level results have opened up the doors to many incredible destinations.
Students arrived at Laurus Ryecroft Sixth Form with high aspirations and due to the unapologetically aspirational culture of the Sixth Form, combined with the dedication of our students, our Class of 2026 are leaving us to study at various prestigious universities and employers from across the UK.
Over half of students who are heading to university have secured a competitive place at Russell Group and Top 25 universities in the UK, including Durham, Lancaster, Leeds, Loughborough, Manchester, Nottingham and York.
Three-quarters of students achieved at least one A*-B grade at A Level, with over half of students receiving two or more A*-B grades.
Overall, the Sixth Form achieved a 99% A Level pass rate and a record A*-C rate. Notably, many subjects were awarded 100% A*-C rates including: Business, Economic, English Language, Geography, Media, PE and Psychology.
Furthermore, many subjects achieved outstanding A*-B grades, with multiple subjects achieving over 80% A*-B rates.
Our Year 12 AS Further Maths students have also excelled with an impressive 86% A-B and a perfect 100% A-C, reflecting the hard work and dedication of both students and staff. Congratulations to friends Ayaan, Mylo and Adam, for securing the highest grade possible in this qualification; a true testament to how collaborative study can deliver incredible outcomes. Additionally, our Year 12 students have done themselves and the Sixth Form proud by achieving an impressive 60% A*-A and 100% A*-C grades in Core Maths.
