Finding Rainbows, an award-winning charity supporting families who have suffered the loss of a child, is opening a brand new dedicated community hub in Ashton.
The hub, situated on the first floor of 9 Fletcher Street, will be officially opening to the public on 10 December with a grand opening between noon and 5pm.
Anyone attending will be warmly welcomed with raffles, games, stalls and nibbles - plus a Santa’s grotto open for visitors throughout the day.
Natalie Paul, from Denton, founded Finding Rainbows in March 2013 following the heart-breaking loss of her son Kaiden.
She said: “As a mother who knows this journey so well, I will never forget our time on the NICU unit.
“Having a baby born prematurely is life-changing. You are left with the scars of the worry and anxiety. People will never understand unless you have walked this road.
“I held Kaiden in my arms and watched my beautiful boy take his last breath - my world fell apart. I will never be the same, but I will carry on in his memory and I promise to be there for others who need a friend or support from Finding Rainbows.”
Natalie continued that she didn’t feel the support was there for her in the face of her bereavement and felt that no one was able to help with what she was going through.
Over the past ten years, the non-profit organisation has continued to expand each year - stimulating the launch of the Ashton hub.
The charity has successfully provided help for parents and families all across the UK who are either experiencing early pregnancy loss, sudden infant death, child bereavement, premature baby loss, baby born sleeping or twin loss.
Their support varies from home visits and one-to-one phone calls at a time convenient to those in need to holistic therapies, remembrance services and coffee mornings.
The team are able to accept referrals or commissions from organisations including hospitals and GP services, while also being happily open to self-referrals.

Meanwhile, JMW Solicitors has announced that it is proud to provide financial assistance to Finding Rainbows to help raise awareness of its services and supporting its ball in May next year to celebrate 10 years since the charity was established.
Ellen Driscoll, a solicitor who specialises in representing families who have lost a baby or child, said JMW had wanted to partner with Finding Rainbows to help it to reach more families who were struggling with their grief.
She said: “The loss of a baby or child at any stage is completely devastating for those it affects but it is often a taboo subject, with grieving parents feeling that they have to suffer in silence.
“What Finding Rainbows offers is an outlet for that grief and amazing support from people who know about baby and child loss from personal experience. There is huge demand for these services because unfortunately, as I know from my own experience representing families, this type of loss happens far too often.”
Natalie added: “It means a lot to us to be supported by a company that understands the issues around baby and child loss so well and wants to make a difference. We are looking forward to working with JMW on different events that will benefit bereaved families and help us to secure more funds for our vital services.”
