A serious incident in the Carrbrook area of Stalybridge has called for a significant response from emergency services.
Police were called shortly before 6:30pm this evening (Monday) to a report of a person getting into difficulty in water off Crowswood Drive in Stalybridge.
Emergency service teams, including air ambulances, remain at the scene.
A police cordon has now been put in place where fire service are also in attendance.
The incident is ongoing and GMP is asking members of the public to stay away from this area at this time.
