Two people have been arrested after a drugs bust uncovered a cannabis farm in Dukinfield.
Police raided the bungalow last night (Wednesday, September 11), where as well as dozens of cannabis plants, they also found two men hiding in the loft space.
The suspects are currently in custody awaiting interview after being arrested on suspicion of drug cultivation, while the plants and equipment have been destroyed.
“As many of you know from recent incidents within Tameside, this type of farm set-up has the potential to cause serious fires, due to the volume of electrical equipment involved,” said a statement from Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
“We urge anyone with information about cannabis farms within Tameside to contact your local Neighbourhood Policing Team via 101, online, or Crimestoppers if you wish to remain anonymous.”
