A pervert from Tameside has been jailed after exposing himself to children playing in woods,
Fifty eight-year-old Alan Mercer, from Dukinfield. indecently exposed himself in front of children playing in woods close to Lockeyer Park in Burnley.
He asked the girls to stand guard while he went to urinate.
Having then told the victims he had finished, they turned around to find Mercer with his trousers around his ankles.
Mercer was arrested by officers from Lancashire Police after CCTV footage of the incident was examined.
He was charged with exposure on and appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court .
Mercer, of Astley Street, Dukinfield, was jailed for six months.
He was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for seven years.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We do not tolerate behaviour of this nature and we will do everything in our power to identify the offender and put them before the courts."
