Denton driver Kristian Thornley has been banned from the road for 12 months by Tameside magistrates for drug driving.
The 37-year-old, of Park Road, pleaded guilty to the charge after being stopped on Stockport Road on November 4 last year.
He had also pleaded guilty to a further charge of being in possession of a quantity of cannabis.
Magistrates fined him £100 for each offence, plus ordered him to pay £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
The court instructed that the cannabis be forfeited and destroyed.
