Cody Upright and Adam Dawson have double cause for celebration, after buying their first home together and getting engaged on the day they got the keys.
As Adam picked up the keys to their new Bellway home at The Old Dairy, on Broadway, Hyde, he surprised Cody by getting down on one knee and popping the question.
With Cody saying ‘yes’, the couple happily toasted their future together.
The two 25-year-olds have moved from renting in Wythenshawe to their first new home.
After visiting The Old Dairy, the couple chose the Rosewood; a charming three bedroom semi-detached home.
“It’s perfect for us,” says Cody.
“Having never lived in Hyde and it being new to us, we really like the area. The location is convenient for both Adam and I to commute to work and it is lovely to have a couple of local pubs nearby.
“There is a real sense of community and a friendly feel to the development too, and we are slowly getting to know our neighbours which is really nice.”
The couple plan to tie the knot in 2022.
