Dane Bank's Lantern Parade

Wonderful numbers turned out to celebrate Denton West End Community Library's festive event and switch-on held on Sunday.

Special thanks went to St George's for organising a wonderful lantern-making workshop and parade which started the night, with families parading from St George's to Denton West Community Library.

Thanks also went to Steve James for being a fantastic DJ on the night.

The evening was supported by local Denton councillors and Denton MP Andrew Gwynne.

The celebrations don't stop of course - the Denton West End Community Library is holding its Christmas Fair this Saturday from 10.30am when Santa will be calling in. There will also be craft stalls, gifts, cakes and refreshments, a tombola and a Santa postbox and much, much more.

Everyone is welcome.
