Here are the crimes being investigated by police in Tameside.

Burglary

Cowper Street, Ashton: Burglars tried to smash through patio doors after breaking into rear garden of the property but ran off when the householder spotted them.

Ridgehill Lane, Stalybridge: An offender was arrested after waking the occupants of a house and fleeing the scene at 2.30am.

Chester Avenue, Duckinfield: Burglars attempted to break in by removing rear door locks.

Theft from motor vehicles

Whitelands Road, Ashton: Registration plates removed from car.
