Car owners have been warned to secure their vehicles after a spate of offences in the early hours of this morning (Friday January 17).
Belongings were snatched from a car in Ashton just before 3am, with the suspect caught on CCTV being described as a 5’11” male of slim build, wearing a black jacket, black trousers and grey shoes with white soles.
An hour later, police had a report of vehicle interference on Bromley Crescent, just off Alt Road.
This suspect was tall of slim build, wearing a cap and with headphones around his neck.
“We can’t say for certain at the moment, but it’s very possible that this is the same male,” said a spokesperson from GMP.
“I would ask if you have a CCTV system or doorbell cameras to check your footage to help assist in identifying this male or any further offences.”
Elsewhere in Tameside, there was a burglary on Bagshaw Street, Hyde, at around 5:30am on Wednesday January 15.
Police think the perpetrators may have escaped along Lodge Lane after darting down the Bagshaw Street ginnel.
