Green-fingered Kenneth Clarke has celebrated his 90th birthday in style with his large family.
The avid gardener and Manchester United enthusiast saw in his special day with a party at Curzon Ashton.
The great-great grandfather celebrated with five generations of his family.

His daughter Jenny Clarke-Davies said: “There were so many children there we couldn’t count them all!”
They all enjoyed day of food and entertainment at the club on Saturday, August 14.
But the celebrations continued the next day when Kenneth’s immediate family joined him at his Ennerdale Grove home in Ashton.
In his free time Kenneth maintains a magnificent garden at his home where he grows tomatoes and lettuce to give to his neighbours. No wonder he is still receiving birthday cards a week later!
