Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club, Ashton-under-Lyne, has been awarded the Club Mirror Awards - Charity Club of the Year 2023.
The private members club, established in 1891, raises thousands of pounds each year for local and national charities, including Willow Wood Hospice, Blind Veterans UK, Mentell, and others.
Leon Tamcken, Club Chairman, said: "It is fantastic to be recognised nationally for all our fundraising efforts. Every penny we give to charities really does help. "
BBC and ITV broadcaster John Inverdale presented the award at the Athena in Leicester, and hundreds of clubs from all over the United Kingdom were in attendance.
The Club Awards, owned and run by Club Mirror, are the only annual awards serving the club sector since 1992.
This year's event took place on November 22, 2023, at the Athena, Leicester. Working in partnership with Camra, TNT Sports, Club Control, Greene King, and others, 'Club Mirror' has championed clubs' roles for over 55 years.
