Ashton United are appealing for the public’s help after their skipper Luke Burke suffered a season ending injury. 

Last Saturday saw the fourth edition of the highly anticipated Tameside 5K Festival take place at the Tameside Cycle Circuit in Ashton, which was organised jointly by the Local Runners Podcast and Active Tameside. 

Tameside was well represented at last Saturday’s Inter Counties Cross Country Championships in Nottingham, with several athletes from the borough competing as part of the Greater Manchester team.
