Police in Oldham have arrested two men and recovered a sword along with cash and drugs this morning.
Officers on patrol spotted the men behaving suspiciously in a vehicle at around 9.40am on Hollins Road, when a short pursuit took place before a black BMW 1 series crashed on Birchenlea Street.
During a search of the car, officers recovered the sword.
The two men tried to flee the scene but were quickly arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, dangerous driving, failing to stop, and possession of an offensive weapon.
The two offenders, aged 19 and 21, remain in custody for questioning.
