TPE offers 25 per cent off rail fares this month

TransPennine Express (TPE) customers can look forward to unbelievable savings this autumn as rail fares take a seasonal tumble.

A total of 100,000 tickets are up for grabs and passengers will be able to enjoy a 25 per cent discount on Advance Purchase fares, making it the perfect time to plan a trip.  

The reduced prices mean journeys will cost less on many popular routes. A trip from Manchester to Liverpool will be available for just £3.70, while travelling from Leeds to York will drop to only £4.40. Another favourite route, from Edinburgh to Newcastle, will fall to just £6.30.  

The special offer applies to tickets booked in advance and will not be available for purchase on the day of travel. Discounted fares can be found online, through the official mobile app, at ticket offices, giving customers plenty of ways to rake in the savings.  

Darren Higgins, Commercial Director at TransPennine Express, said: “Advance Purchase fares already offer excellent value for money, and with this extra autumn discount, passengers will find even more reason to explore our network this October.  

“We urge customers to book tickets early to avoid disappointment. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.”    

Sale tickets can be purchased from today until 12pm on Friday, October 24, for travel from now until Friday, October 31.
