A popular local play cafe is opening its doors to families of all faiths and backgrounds this month with a duo of seasonal celebrations designed to promote diversity and community cohesion.
Baby Bear’s Play Cafe, located on Shaw Road, Oldham, has announced plans for dedicated Easter and Eid parties, providing a space for parents and children under the age of seven to come together.
The venue, which has become a staple for young families in the borough, aims to use the festivities to help customers learn more about the different cultures that make up the fabric of Oldham.

Lauren Grimes, owner of Baby Bear’s Play Cafe, said: “We are so excited to host these celebrations. For us, the play cafe is a space for every single member of our community.
“Our goal is to create a positive environment where families can come together, share experiences, and learn more about each other’s cultures.”
The Easter event on Saturday, April 4, will feature traditional activities for toddlers and infants, while the Eid party on Saturday, March 21, will celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan with festive treats and themed play.
Families with children under seven are encouraged to book in advance to secure a place.
