A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving; he has since been released on bail.

“Specially trained officers are supporting the family through every step of the process, and we will keep them updated as and when any information becomes available.
“While we have made an arrest, we are continuing to ask for information as we progress our investigation – if you have anything that you think could help, or witnessed anything, please do get in touch. This includes any relevant dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage.”
