Police are investigating after the suspicious death of a baby girl in Chadderton.
A man, aged 41, and a woman, aged 21, have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and taken into custody, according to reports.
Police were called to an address on Nelson Way at around 12.56pm yesterday (Sunday) following reports of concern for welfare.
The baby girl, understood to have been five weeks old, was tragically pronounced dead despite the efforts of paramedics at the scene.
Investigation is underway.
