New Mills Festival taking shape

Organisers from this year's New Mills Festival have put out a call for volunteers, businesses, and creatives looking to take part in this year's event.

The New Mills Festival will run between the 12th and 28th September, and will see a full lineup of events and stallholders.

A 'Proms in the Park' event is scheduled for September 14th in High Lea Park, and is set to feature some of New Mills' best in musical talent. Last year, the New Mills Brass Band wowed the crowds alongside the local Rock Choir, with cakes and refreshments also available for attendees.

Meanwhile, an antiques, vintage, collectables and craft fair will be running on Sunday 28th September between 9:30am and 3pm at the New Mills Leisure Centre, with a minimum donation of £1. Anyone looking for a stall is encouraged to contact Nikki Duguid on 07488 591958, or via email at nikkiduguid@hotmail.com - single pitches are £25, and doubles are £45.

The Festival has now extended its deadline for people looking to get involved in the event, with anyone looking for a spot encouraged to apply before the 11th July.

Event submissions can be made on the New Mills Festival website.
