Glossopdale Churches Together more than matched their £3,000 target, despite the coronavirus pandemic hitting their fundraising plans.
The volunteers came up with that amount for Christian Aid 12 months ago with a house-to-house collection and a coffee morning.
Due to the lockdown, that had to be replaced during this year’s Christian Aid Week by a Just Giving page.
But Glossopdale people remained just as generous as ever, by so far donating £3,085 to the good cause.
Co-organiser Christine Nudds said: "A massive thank you to all those who gave from Glossopdale Churches Together."
