Young people invited to ‘Explore Your Future’

Young people across Tameside are being invited to an upcoming event designed to help them into or towards education, employment or training opportunities.

Explore Your Future is aimed at 16 to 24 year olds who are unsure about their direction and want practical advice and support. The drop-in session will take place on Thursday 18 June, from 2.30pm to 5pm at Tameside One (Level 1), Market Place, Ashton-under-Lyne.

The event will bring together a range of support in one place, giving attendees the opportunity to speak directly with qualified careers advisers and local organisations. There will also be information on current apprenticeship vacancies with Tameside Council, alongside guidance on wider opportunities available through Tameside Futures.

The session is informal, with no need to book, and is open to anyone looking for clear, personalised guidance on their next steps.

Cllr Leanne Feeey, Tameside Council Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, said: “This event is a great opportunity for young people in Tameside to explore their options, build confidence and get clear, practical advice on their next steps. Whether they’re considering education, training or employment, we want to help them find a path that’s right for them.”
