Another fang-tastic night filled with community spirit(s)
Waterloo Action’s fifth annual Halloween celebration proved to be a real scream this year, as the ever-popular 'Wicked Waterloo Halloween Event' moved to a bigger and better venue at Ashton Cricket Club.
The move provided even more local families with the chance to join in the frightfully good fun! With more than 200 free children’s tickets snapped up in advance, it was clear that this year’s event was going to be a monster hit, as little ghouls, ghosts and witches descended on the venue for an evening of Halloween magic.

MONSTER MASH... A few of the organisers prepare to meet their guests!
Families enjoyed a fang-tastic programme of activities, including spooky games, creative crafts, dancing, sweet treats and plenty of seasonal surprises. And Mother Nature certainly played her part, with an eerie blanket of fog rolling across the outdoor trail, creating a wonderfully atmospheric setting that was guaranteed to send a few shivers down spines!

HOWL'S ABOUT THAT... Emma Jones from Perry Jones Funeral Services ready for the bewitching hour.
Once again, the event was hosted by Emma Jones from the award-winning Perry Jones Funeral Services in Ashton, who helped bring the community together for an evening to remember.
Emma said: “With just six weeks of planning and a lot of hard work, seeing so many happy faces, excited children and families enjoying themselves made every minute worthwhile.
“A massive thank you to our incredible volunteers, the British Gas community group, and Stan at Ashton Cricket Club for their fantastic support and for helping to make the event possible. We couldn’t have done it without them.”

Now firmly established as a highlight of the local Halloween calendar, Wicked Waterloo continues to grow from strength to strength, proving that when a community comes together, the results are nothing short of magical.
And it seems the organisers aren't resting on their broomsticks just yet! With even bigger and better plans already brewing for next year.

Emma added: “If you thought this year was good… just wait until next year! We’ve got even bigger plans for Wicked Waterloo 2027.”
So, it looks like Waterloo Action has plenty more tricks and treats up its sleeve – and we can’t wait to see what’s brewing!

We had a scream... Emma and the team look forward to seeing you all again next year.
