A gallery of pictures taken this week reveals how filthy some of Ashton's Streets are.
Despite council crackdowns on fly-tipping, some areas of the town are full of waste which has been left to fester for weeks on end.
This month, a campaign to clean up the streets of Stalybridge was launched.
Tameside Council Assistant Executive Member Cllr Hugh Roderick, who is responsible for enforcement, said: "We all have a part to play in making our neighbourhoods cleaner and safer and days of action like this help to put the spotlight on our every day work with communities to tackle concerns relating to waste and other issues."
However, many residents believe a real crackdown is required to clean up our streets.
