Local social media personality Hayley Burke is inviting the community to come together this Halloween for a family-friendly fundraising event in aid of mental health charity MIND.
The event will take place at The Forrester Pub in Dukinfield on Saturday 25th October, from 1pm to 4pm, and promises an afternoon full of spooky fun for a great cause. Families can look forward to a Halloween disco, fancy dress competition, children’s games, a bouncy castle, and a range of food and cake stalls. Local businesses will also be attending, selling products and donating items for a raffle featuring some fantastic prizes, including hand-signed Manchester United merchandise.
Hayley, who runs the popular TikTok account ‘Keeping up with Hay & Bill’ alongside her friend Billie, has built a following of over 50,000 fans by creating light-hearted lip sync videos aimed at supporting people’s mental health. Now, she’s taking her mission offline as she prepares to run the London Marathon next April to mark ten years since the loss of her mother, Jennifer, who sadly passed away due to mental health struggles.
Hayley will be joined in the marathon by her sister, who is also running to raise money for charity. Together, they hope to inspire others and encourage open conversations around mental health. Hayley’s personal fundraising goal is £2,500, with every penny from the Halloween event going directly to MIND to support those in need.
The Halloween Family Funday promises to be a treat-filled afternoon for all ages, and everyone is welcome to attend.
