A community centre in Dane Bank celebrated the opening of new facilities last weekend.
St George’s Church and Community Centre in Dane Bank has opened a brand new changing places facility.
The Church received funding to create the changing facilities and hopes that the addition will help to open the centre up to the wider community.
St George’s have also recently launched a new community cafe that runs on Fridays 11:30am-1pm.
The centre already has a variety of activities including Jui Jitsu every Monday and Thursday from 6:30pm, and Slimming World on Mondays.
Laurence Platt told The Reporter: “These amazing facilities will not only benefit the groups we have running already, but allow us to open up to the wider community too. St George's is completely run by volunteers, and with their dedication and the support of local councillors and contractors have made this project happen.
"A huge thank you to all involved in creating this space as we look forward to new and existing groups benefiting from them.”
St George’s Church and community centre can be found on Windmill Lane Denton.
