Residents and staff at Millbrook Care Home came together to mark Good Friday with a day of Easter-themed activities, bringing a warm sense of community spirit to the home.
The Stalybridge-based care home was decorated for the occasion, creating a bright and welcoming setting for residents to enjoy throughout the day. The lounge became the hub of activity, where a range of events ensured there was something for everyone to take part in.
Residents spent time enjoying a mix of games and relaxing pastimes, including dominoes, crosswords and Easter crafts. Some chose to get creative, while others preferred to unwind and socialise with friends and fellow residents. The day offered a balance of friendly competition, creativity and quieter moments of reflection in keeping with the spirit of Good Friday.
The celebration forms part of Millbrook Care Home’s ongoing programme of activities, which aims to bring residents together, mark seasonal occasions and support wellbeing through meaningful engagement.
Claire Jones, Home Manager at Millbrook Care Home, said: “Good Friday was a lovely opportunity for residents to come together and enjoy some Easter activities. From crafts and puzzles to relaxing with friends, it was wonderful to see everyone taking part and enjoying the day in their own way.”
