Police are hunting a vandal who has painted his tag all over Glossop and Hadfield.

The yob - who has the tag 'Boof' is wanted for numerous incidents of criminal damage throughout Glossopdale.

A Derbyshire police spokesman said: "We would like to speak with the male in the picture regarding some recent criminal damage which has occurred in a number of locations around the Glossop and Hadfield area."

Local people have identified the vandal responsible, following the appeal - saying he regularly paints the name 'Boof' on benches, toilet walls and lamp posts.

One said: "When caught, this individual should be accompanied to every signature to ensure that his graffiti is cleaned off. It will take years."

Another added: "It's been sprayed on lamp posts, park benchs and bus stops all over Hadfield and Glossop. He's a very naughty boy with a lot of time and paint on his hands."
