A new nationwide survey exploring the state of relationships across the UK launched on Valentine’s Day, and residents in Tameside are being encouraged to take part.
The Relationships Survey 2026 is the first in a planned series aiming to provide a snapshot of the nation’s relationships. The survey asks people about their experiences with friends, family members and romantic partners, offering insight into how relationships are changing and what matters most to people today.
Open from 14 February until 30 June 2026, the survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Organisers hope that by gathering a wide range of responses, they can build a clearer picture of the strengths and challenges within modern relationships.
Whether single, married, in a long-term partnership, or focused on friendships and family connections, everyone’s perspective is welcome. By taking part, local residents can help contribute to a broader understanding of how relationships shape wellbeing and community life.
As a thank you, participants will have the option to leave their email address to be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher of their choice.
Organisers are calling on community groups, workplaces, schools, charities and local organisations across Tameside to help spread the word via social media, newsletters and websites to ensure as many voices as possible are heard.

The survey closes on 30 June 2026.
