The Vale is celebrating a summer of free creativity and free lunches, with activities of all kinds planned for local children and young people.
Running from 11-12.30pm, children and teenagers aged 5-15 are invited to claim a space to take part in one or more of 30 free creative workshops, which are followed up by a tasty free lunch. The bookable sessions will run from 21 July-31 August 2026 and include music, arts and crafts, cinema and dance.
The lunches are intended to support families local to Mossley and across Tameside who would benefit from free food provision during the school holidays.
A special one-off live gig experience on 31 August has just 30 places available. Families are invited to watch a performance by Oldham music and dance group Jubacana, before having lunch together.
Children aged 5-11 must attend these sessions with an adult, who will also receive a free lunch. Anyone aged 12+ is welcome to come on their own, but can also bring an adult to enjoy a free lunch.
Summer lunches and creative workshops at The Vale are funded by the Comic Relief and Sainsbury’s Holiday Activity and Food Programme.
