Hyde Market Hall was filled with festive cheer this Christmas as families, shoppers and stallholders enjoyed a series of seasonal activities and surprise visits from some much-loved characters.
As part of Hyde’s festive programme, Father Christmas and The Grinch were spotted touring Hyde Clarendon Indoor Market, stopping to chat with shoppers, pose for photos and spread plenty of Christmas smiles. The lively walkabout helped create a fun and welcoming atmosphere throughout the market hall, much to the delight of both visitors and local traders.
The festive fun continued last weekend when Father Christmas returned to Hyde Market Hall with a traditional grotto, giving children the chance to meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes. Adding to the magic of the occasion, live reindeer also made a special appearance, providing an unforgettable experience for families attending the event.
The Christmas activities formed part of a wider programme of festive entertainment across Hyde, aimed at supporting the town centre while offering residents and visitors a chance to enjoy the run-up to Christmas together.
