Bonfire night is just around the corner and Tameside is set to mark the occasion in spectacular style.

The council is not putting on any events themselves, like many other local authorities up and down the country, but there are still plenty to choose from. Tameside council is encouraging residents of the borough to go to safe, organised events. 

A number of sports clubs will be hosting putting on firework displays for locals to enjoy alongside Cockfields Farm Park and the recently established Home of Fields Of Gold Festival.

The majority of the private events need to be booked in advance with a cost involved. The booking details for each event can be found on the organisations’ individual websites.

Here are some of the bonfire night events we know about so far..

Fields of Gold Festival Bonfire Night Fun Fair

• Date: Saturday, November 8, 2025
• Location: Tameside Stadium
• Features: Fireworks, a funfair, rides, and food 
• Cost: £5.00 for children, £12.50 for adults and £25.00 for a family ticket

Ashton Town FC Bonfire Night

• Date: Saturday, November 1, 2025
• Location: Barton’s Group Stadium
• Details: The celebration includes a football match that kicks off at 3:00 pm, followed by the fireworks event from 5:00 pm.
• Features: Fireworks at 7:30 pm, a live DJ, food stalls, fair rides, and face painting
• Cost: £5 for adults and £1 for concessions

Cockfields Farm Park Bonfire Night

• Dates: Saturday, November 1, Sunday, November 2, and Wednesday, November 5, 2025 (pre-booking advised)
• Location: Lees New Road, Ashton Under Lyne, OL6 8AR
• Features: A fireworks display at 7pm
• Cost: £14.95 for adults and children, and £4.95 for children aged under 1. Tickets are limited, so online booking is advised

Hyde Cricket & Squash Club

• Date: Saturday, November 1
• Location: Hyde Cricket and Squash Club, Hyde, SK14 3AA
• Features: A fireworks display at 8pm as well as bonfire 
• Cost: £6 for adults, £3 for children and infants go free

Denton St Lawrence Bonfire 2025

• Date: Saturday, November 1
• Location: Denton St. Lawrence Cricket Club, Sycamore Park, Clayton Street, Denton, M34 6LZ
• Features: Bonfire lit at 6pm, then two fireworks displays for children and adults
• Cost: £10 for adults, £7 for children and £25 family tickets
